k|a+d evaluates the functions, spatial relationships, material decisions, budget and aesthetic direction of the project. We focus on these elements to provide an approach for the design recommendations.

About the Founder
Mark Klancic
Mark Klancic has been a professionally licensed architect in Illinois since 1988. His former architectural firm Klancic Architect PC was active from 1996 through 2018. Klancic Architecture + Design PLLC was formed in 2024. We can provide direct contact with our clients from the initial services through the completion of each phase in the architectural process. The initial Feasibility Phase, the Design and Documentation Phases, are all interactive, typically with numerous paths and various workable solutions investigated. By approaching each project’s challenges via exploring various directions, a thorough investigation of design solutions is undertaken. Finally, detailed documents to convey the design and scope of the project are produced. Klancic Architecture + Design PLLC is a firm committed to personalized architectural services and interaction with the client throughout the process.
As a consulting architect Mark Klancic has provided services to other architectural firms on a per project basis, assisting with design development, virtual 3D modeling detailing, CAD production, permit information and presentation needs.
As an educator Mark Klancic has volunteered, been awarded grants and taught gifted summer school programs instructing grade school and middle school students to design and create 3D models in the virtual PC environment.
