Elks National Memorial

Mark Klancic served the Elks in the restoration of the Elks National Veterans Memorial in the 1990’s for the Elks Restoration Trust. In the last 30 years he has been active in various ongoing repairs and remodeling projects on the Memorial and the Magazine Building. Continuing projects included roof replacements on both the Memorial and Magazine Building, repairs of the under terrace concrete structure and restoration of the perimeter limestone wall at the Memorial. As a consultant to the Elks’ Facility Managers Mark contributed to the development of the long-term maintenance schedule and provided site verification of conditions and repair documents for stone repairs, tuckpointing, flashing and sealant repairs. Additional services were provided to archive the original Memorial and adjacent Magazine Building prints into CAD format. The digital file has been utilized in the electronic format for space planning studies and area take-off use.
